OCTOBER 13TH - 20TH
For the second year, YTP in collaboration with Petrabax, the Tourist Office of Spain in New York and Paradores of Spain traveled once again to Spain where our members visited Galicia, a unique region with its own language and distinctive culture, and home to some of the very best food and wine in all of Spain. During this 6 day familiarization trip our members were able to visit such distinctive cities such as Cambados, O Grove, Baiona, Tui, O Rosal, A Guarda, Oia, Vigo, Ribadavia, Ribeiro, Monforte de Lemos, Ribeira Sacra, Sarria, Lugo, Ribadeo, Rinlo, Viveiro and ending in the mystical pilgrimage city of Santiago de Compostela.
This exceptional itinerary gave our members the opportunity to explore a one of a kind region of Spain undiscovered by many travel professionals and American tourists. One of the highlights of the trip was a VIP tour on the roof of the world famous Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela which ended with a Farewell Dinner at the chef’s table at Casa Marcelo, a Michelin star rated restaurant.
The trip was perfect blend of culture, history, religion, nature, wine and gastronomy which allowed our members to return with well-rounded knowledge of this untapped region of Spain.
