Life was good growing up in small town Montana, where Tyler discovered a passion for adventure at an early age, exploring the great outdoors of his home state.  It wasn’t until college when he took a 3-month backpacking trip through India, Nepal and the Philippines that he realized there was a much larger world yet to be discovered.  Next up was a semester in Chile, during which he had the opportunity to travel throughout South America.  After returning home, it was decided - travel was going to be an integral part of his career.
He made a jump from Big Sky Country to NYC in 2010 and landed a position with JG Black Book, a global hospitality consulting firm for some of the world’s most inspired travel experiences.  Tyler is currently the Northeast Director of Industry Relations at JG Black Book.  Acting as lead on a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening relationships within the US agent and tour operator community, he is responsible for elevating client's visibility in the U.S. marketplace.  His responsibilities include strategy consultation, representation during designated sales calls, roadshows and targeted industry events, as well as creating and executing key marketing programs, vetting prospects and leading FAM trips, and uncovering relevant partnership opportunities.
Tyler has been lucky enough to visit some amazing areas of the globe, from Chile to India, Argentina to Turkey, Belize to Morocco, Mongolia, South Africa, Italy, Ecuador, and beyond.  Each experience continues to fuel his passion for travel and his career in the industry.
