Megan Cokely is originally from Fairport, NY, just outside the city of Rochester.  She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and a minor in business from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA where she was also a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi fraternity.  She then completed an operations internship with the National Symphony Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and later received a Masters of Performing Arts Administration from Boston University as well as a Graduate Certificate in Economic Sustainability through Cultural Tourism where she had the opportunity to study tourism practices and trends in Kenya and Tanzania, Africa.  She has held multiple service and leadership positions in both the hospitality and classical music industries, and is currently the Group Sales Manager at the Boston Symphony Orchestra where she oversees the day-to-day operations of the Group Sales office throughout the Boston Symphony, Boston Pops and Tanglewood seasons, in addition to coordinating the Working With the Masters program. 

Megan began her tourism adventures as a young child through Girl Scout and school trips, and her passion for experiencing other unique cultures which provide significant learning opportunities has only increased since.

In her position Megan hopes to continue providing a forum for tourism professionals in Boston to not only convene but to also increase their industry knowledge through relevant and meaningful events.
