Originally from Zimbabwe, Lauren grew up as a farmer’s daughter on a cattle ranch where she discovered her love for the African bush at a young age. Playtime consisted of being outside in nature with her brothers - building forts in trees, riding horses, playing hide n seek in the maize crops, lawn cricket, swimming in reservoirs & the occasional consumption of chongololo’s (African millipede), mud pie’s & sheep poop – of which the last three she strongly believes helped develop the strong immune system she needed to withstand the English weather in her next chapter.
Lauren spent a brief period of 3 years in London, living amongst fellow Zimbabweans in Zimbledon...Sorry – Wimbledon, where she worked in recruitment & cultivated her love for people…and snakebites.

The undeniable love & passion Lauren has for Africa is what made her move back to Zimbabwe where she established her Marketing career in tourism.  She learnt that it truly makes such a difference to promote something you love & home was it! Privileged to have worked with some of the best at The Amalinda Collection & across the industry in Zimbabwe, Lauren is now based in Cape Town & represents Royal Zambezi Lodge in Zambia as their Head of Sales & Marketing.

Lauren’s joys in life range from a glass of red wine (OK - maybe a bottle) to camping, sunrise expeditions with Amarula coffee, observing elephants in the bush, fishing, hiking, family time (embrace the crazy) & finding THOSE people you have an instant connection with - who live in the moment & don’t take life too seriously.

Lauren’s YTP–CT Leadership Strategy: NO ONE is getting out alive!
