Position: Sales Executive

For over 30 years, Great Rail Journeys has offered escorted group rail vacations worldwide for the 55+ market. We are looking for dynamic sales professionals to join our new US operations in New York City.

The Role

Our Sales Executives handle all pre-booking enquiries from customers or Travel Agents by telephone and email. They also handle a portion of post-booking / pre-travel enquiries, assisting customers with add-on purchases which enhance their experience with us and maximise the overall value of their booking.

Sales Executives deliver sales through the provision of world-class customer service, and an affable approach to conversation with enquirers, that focuses on generating a rapport capable of establishing and developing strong customer loyalty.

Our style of operation is different than most. We use direct experience and a passion for travel to sell our tours, chatting with our customers for an average of 15 minutes per call. We don't pressure customers or 'cold-call' for business. We believe having a team of experts who possess an appetite for travel and a high level of customer service sets us apart from others.

Most tour bookings made with us are taken over the telephone, therefore the ability to talk on the telephone whilst navigating multiple software applications on a computer is a must.
