Ashley fell head over kilt in love with travel while backpacking solo in Scotland.  After studying Film and Television production in Toronto, she moved abroad to Edinburgh to focus on creative writing projects and developed marketing campaigns to promote comedic acts during the world’s largest arts festival.

Her passion for outdoor adventure was ignited while boldly daring to swim in Loch Ness and trek the Scottish Highlands. Later on, she relocated to London to make a mark in the indie film scene and work as a Business Analyst for Marks and Spencer.

On a quest to take the eco-friendly route, Ashley has experience chasing the Northern Lights in Iceland, cycling a remote Croatian island, hiking up mountains in Vancouver, sailing the Guna Yala and learning to dive around Central America. In Panama, she volunteered with marine biologists and created a series of short documentaries for the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute.

Since returning to Toronto, Ashley freelances as a Digital Content Creator and blogs about her outdoor adventures to promote ecotourism.  She can be found exploring Ontario’s trails with a camera in hand or planning her next big adventure around the world.
